Rebecca has considerable experience in all aspects of family and children law, having practiced almost exclusively in family law throughout her career, including:

  • High value financial cases involving matrimonial and non-matrimonial property
  • Large property portfolios
  • Complex business structures
  • Issues of domestic abuse and coercive control
  • Child arrangements on separation, particularly relating to international relocation

Career

Rebecca trained in family law and practiced in central London before relocating to Cambridge in 2014.

Whilst practicing in Cambridge, Rebecca previously headed the private family team of a regional firm, forging strong links as an active member of the Cambridge legal community.

Rebecca represents a diverse range of clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and in particular:

  • Highly successful corporate clients, predominantly within the technology industry
  • Academics
  • Doctors, researchers and medical staff

Rebecca also regularly represents vulnerable of financially weaker spouses who are finding it difficult to access the marital wealth on separation.

Rebecca advises clients on all aspects of family law and particularly following the breakdown of a relationship including:

  • Children issues such as child arrangements, direct and indirect contact, international relocation and child abduction
  • Discrete children issues such as educational and medical dispute
  • Financial matters arising from the breakdown of relationships both where parties were married and where cohabiting
  • Schedule 1 applications for provision for children
  • Preparing, drafting and advising on pre and postnuptial agreements
  • Implementing pre and postnuptial agreements on separation
  • The use of injunctive proceedings, and particularly Occupation Orders.

Rebecca has considerable experience assisting international clients, particularly those working across several countries, and has worked on many cases involving jurisdictional disputes concerning financial and children matters. Her client base is global with clients in Europe, America and Asia.

Education

Rebecca read law at Sussex University, following which she completed her LPC at the College of Law, Bloomsbury. Whilst at University she received a first class for her dissertation on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act, which led to her obtaining the first-ever internship at the country’s only fertility law firm at the time.

Accolades

  • Rebecca holds Higher Rights of Audience, having obtained these whilst still a trainee solicitors, and is an accredited member of the family law panel, specialising in children law and complex financial remedy proceedings.
  • Rebecca was recognised in the Legal 500 2024 edition as being "tenacious and detail oriented", playing a key part in a team that is "diligent, technically sound and warm and friendly". She received further acclaim in the 2025 edition where she was named as a ‘Leading Associate’ and described as being ‘truly excellent’ and ‘standout’ with work at the ‘highest standard’.

Languages

Rebecca speaks intermediate Italian and is continuing regular lessons aiming to achieve fluency. She also speaks French to a lower level.

Rebecca is hugely passionate about reading (in particular Italian crime novels) cooking, travelling, exercise and spending time with her children.
